Sami Fitz
Finding and exploring the magic in creativity whilst also demystifying its craft.
This week we are joined by one of our favourite people, let alone artists, Sami Fitz! Sami is New Yorker who has become a Londoner, carving out a wonderful musical journey of a life. I like to call her a Neo-Folk artist, even if that may not be a real thing. She fuses ambient music, such as gong baths and meditation inspired drones, with a classic Pop arrangements and Folk melodies, all of which makes for a beautiful and unique sound. A sound that you can hear on her album ‘Some Hills Were Once Islands’, co-produced by us here at The Inscape. You can listen everywhere now or even purchase a vinyl and print to support Sami.
She is a mature, insightful artist who lives what David Lynch would call “The Art Life”. She’s as candid as she is romantic about the journey that many of us creatives undergo and offers a great example for many artists to follow.
We delve into what it means to be an artist, the creative process and touch on Ralph Wiggum’s heart breaking infant of our eyes.
