10pm-12pm: Music & dancing ends, but we are welcome to head down to the camping paddock for fire pits & ghost stories.
12pm: Strict end so that we can let people sleep.
Note on taxis: Firstly, we would recommend booking taxis in advance. Secondly, there are residents on site, so, if you’re a night owl and you want to stay on site after 10pm, then PLEASE make sure you exit quietly and try to meet your taxi at the entrance to the wood.
For those staying on site: Please be mindful and respectful of other campers when it comes to bedtime. Especially the night before the wedding.
Parking - There is parking onsite, right next to the reception area. You’re welcome to leave you’re car there overnight.
Off site accommodation - We know a lot of you have already sorted this, but if not, we do have a few people staying at the Buxted Inn.
Camping - You will be camping in lower paddock and we will reserve the top tier for families, or those who might want an early night.
Showers - The bath house is our favourite structure in the wood, and it is entirely sustainably run. Because of this, the water heater is heated using a log burner. We will be employing a fire starter (Paul, I’m looking at you) who will hopefully make sure this stays hot for the morning of the wedding. That said, I thought it worth warning you in advance.
Mirrors - It’s a wood, it’s not full of them. I’ll bring what I can, but maybe prep for this.
Stilettos - I promise you will regret this decision. A wedge or a block heel should be fine, but a thin stiletto is asking for trouble. Think woodland walk!
Gifts - If you would like to contribute towards the deposit of our first home, this would be very much appreciated. However, if you feel that there is something you wish to share with us, other than than money, then we welcome the surprise and thank you in advance for your generosity and thoughtfulness.
We in no way want anyone to contribute, be it financially or otherwise, if you feel that you are unable to for any reason.
Sharing our day with you will fill us up sufficiently!
