Finding and exploring the magic in creativity whilst also demystifying its craft.

Apologies that we’re a day late, it’s been a week…let’s just say that!

Rather than a guest, or Between The Lines, we thought that this week we would dive into a topic that has circulated around our ether, and social culture, recently. We often pick up on the mood of independent artists and how things are impacting our collective consciousness through the artists with whom we work, as well as our own consumption of media and what is permitting through the culture. And, in the past, when we have seen potentially damaging trends, we’ve felt like we should cast some clarity on the reality, based on our own experiences, of course. And, even though we don’t proclaim to have all the answers, we hope that we shed a different perspective on what it means to be an artist living in the world today, rather than the narrative of a super star story, making millions of dollars around the globe right now.

Biopics are fun and interesting when done correctly, right? But Hollywood retellings of true stories are often not entirely, well, true.

As always, this seems to go hand in hand with the increasing threat of AI to art and, although that is topic that we could talk about much further, we only briefly touch upon it today, as to not get dragged into a 3 hour rant from Alex.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions or thoughts based on what we’ve spoken about, as we’d love to hear from you!
