Welcome to another week of Between The Lines, our opportunity to get into the nitty gritty of the craft of songwriting. We use some of our favourite songs, and submissions from our lovely listenership, as jumping off points to show you our interpretation of the art and craft that has gone in to bringing it to life. 

This week, we’re changing up genres and finding that the more things change…the more they stay the same. Based on some feedback about the show, we’ve got our resident “metalhead”, Alex, breaking down some modern Metal that takes heavy inspiration from Pop Music. We look at how the genre got to this point and then delve into Fearless by President.
