Finding and exploring the magic in creativity whilst also demystifying its craft.

Welcome to another week of Between The Lines, our opportunity to get into the nitty gritty of the craft of songwriting. We use some of our favourite songs, and submissions from our lovely listenership, as jumping off points to show you our interpretation of the art and craft that has gone in to bringing it to life.

This week, we’re changing it up slightly. We’re not concentrating on the craft of a song, nor an album, more the context around its release and what artists can take from it. The album in question is the brand spanking new album from Electronic Mad Professor, James Blake, Trying Times. Although there’s a lot to discuss in regards to craft of this album, his interviews about going independent and the launch of Vault.fm are definitely worth diving into, and take up the majority of this podcast!
